I've been building links and search engine rankings since 1999. Since then, I've seen various link building fads come and go (free-for-all pages, link farms, PageRank selling, off-topic reciprocal links, the list goes on...) But one type of link building has outlasted them all: on-topic, legitimate, oneway links still deliver targeted traffic and search engine rankings. This is what I've been doing all along.
Because links are so powerful, I have made it my mission to learn everything I can about them. The original revolutionary linking algorithm was PageRank, of course. Currently, search engines are implementing more advanced algorithms such as Hilltop, Latent Semantic Indexing and VIsion-based Page Segmentation. I keep up to date with all of the latest linking research, but more importantly, I integrate this research into my strategy, methodology and work product.
